Kadiatu - Power Woman in Macombeh

At the heart of our operations is Kadiatu Bangura, the wife of the operations manager at KETSO, our dedicated local partner in Sierra Leone. Kadiatu is a crucial link in our mission to restore and enrich the natural environment through reforestation.

"I strongly believe in the power of trees," says Kadiatu, as she gently touches the leaves of a young tree. "Planting trees is not only good for our planet; it also brings us tangible benefits."

Kadiatu has witnessed how the trees we plant together transform communities. In addition to the crucial role they play in absorbing CO2 and producing oxygen, many of the planted trees are beginning to bear fruit. "These trees will not only protect us from climate change but also provide us with fruit and other resources that are essential for our daily lives," she explains.

By sharing her experiences with the local community, Kadiatu inspires others to participate in our initiatives. Her story is a powerful example of how individual actions can contribute to a greater good while simultaneously offering direct benefits to local communities.

"Every tree we plant is a step towards a more sustainable and resilient future," she adds, hopefully. "We invite everyone to help us plant more trees and become part of this beautiful transformation."
